Indonesian Art - Woman Carrying Rice Plants
This is a fine example of the natural beauty and grace of Balinese women. Here we see a barefoot farm worker, dressed in a traditional sarong and carrying a bundle of rice plants from the rice paddy to a place near her house where the plants will be beaten and the rice grains harvested. This hand-carved statue was created in the capital of Bali, by Bapak Panakus.
